I've been so focused on compassionate care for the past 6 months that it's been hard to get to my blog. Spring is here....so I'm back to teaching yoga, being steady at my massage office, working on promoting my workshops. Trying to squeeze in time to play guitar, keep the house clean, cook yummy foods, play with the granchildren, do a lil drumming....and make time to be a postive influence in the life of the Cedar Valley Unitarian Universalist Society. It's a good life to be sure!
I'm also convinced that once all this ice and snow leaves, we'l actually be able to get back to the Earth! GARDEN!!!!!
So..... I'm excited about the transformation that's happening on a global level, as long as you don't get sucked into the media's approach of creating a stream of information that is designed to keep us in fear! I do focus on what Monsanto and the other big foodie corrupt dorporations on doing....they'er sneaky you know....and I'm convinced they're all about $$ columns and not children or humans.

Shamanic Breathwork Process

Shamanic Breathwork Process
Well...it's been awhile since I've posted on this blog....yes.....life is full and meaningful....and I've been BUSY!!!!
I'm getting ready for some training in a month, during November. I'm really excited about this Shamanic Breathwork Process. It's a powerful healing process that inspires each individual to remember and reconnect to their own inner healer. I'll have more on this after the training!
My massage practice is going great..... I'm so honored to have such wonderful people committed to my healing touch.
This fall I am not doing the usual busy schedule of yoga classes, drum circles, healing artz workshops etc..... they will return in the Spring of 2012! This fall of 2011 will be training seson for me...so I have more to offer YOU!!!!
Breath Deep and find that sacred place within yourself, your refuge....that place of contentment!

Spring, 2011 schedule
My spring schedule is about to begin.....
Positive Movez YOGAaah classes start March 8 (thru April 14) for the first 6 week session.
classes are on Tuesday and thursday at 5:45 p.m. and Wednesday at 9 a.m.
Cost for any classes during the 6 weeks is $60
once a week class is $36
drop in on any class is $8
The first drum circle is Friday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m.
Free, fun and family friendly!
Bring your own drums or percussion, or use mine!
The first Creative Healing Artz workshop is Sunday, March 20, - 2-4 p.m.

Cost is love offering with 50% donated to the UUSBHC
The second workshop is being co-facilitated with launie Sorem , a dear friend and healer from the Boone, IA area. Sunday, April 10, 2-4 p.m., Seeds of Growth, 'transforming through the cyles of life!'.... cost is $18
Most of my events take place at my office at 124 E. 18th St., suite 4 in Cedar falls, IA or the UUSBHC (Unitarian Universalist Society of BlackHawk County). The UUSBHC is a beautiful setting, and it's also the place where I am a lay-minister...preaching on sunday, March 20 and April 10 at, 9:30 a.m.)
I'm teaching my style of massage at a 6 hour workshop on Friday, April 1, 9 - 4 p.m.
Cost is $90 and payment and registration are due 7 days prior to the event.
IBN (Integrative Body Networking) is a therapeutic intervention that can be a catalyst for self-healing and repair. This class will focus on upper extremities, neck, back, arms, gluts and sacrun.
The 3rd Annual Healing Earth Expo will take place on Earth Day, Friday, April 22, 6-10 p.m. at the Hrtman Reserve in Cedar Falls, IA., 657 Reserve Dr. The 7 original healers that started the HEE will be showcasing their talents and gifts during this informative and transformative, unique, earth-bassed experience!
Cost is $65 ( the price of a gold ticket to the Gallagher Bluedorn, with the possibility of self-transformations and self-discovery!) limited seating so registar early if your interested!

spring, 2011 schedule
I've been getting excited about my spring schedule release. There are still a few "issues" that need working out.... but the schedule is looking full and diversified! This is my 20th year self-employed in my own business! A business that has been ahead of it's time from it's inception....focusing on the visual, performance and healing artz!
Due to it's uniqueness.... it's been hard to advertise myself....putting me in a catagory.... so my advertising uses the age old proven method of "word of mouth". I do put out 2 pieces/ brochures of my spring and fall schedule. So, if you are interested in receiving this, and are not in my data-base...or know of someone who would be a good candidate to receive my spring and fall schedule, please e-mail me at deblynzart@cfu.net with the snail mail address.
I continue to learn more about the ancient practice of Chinese Cupping and Shamanic Breathwork.... adding each into my reportaire of knowledge in helping others on their path of self-discovery, healing and 'lumination!

Amazing Shamanic Breathwork
A week ago, I participated in a day long program of Shamanic Breathwork. All I can say is WOW..... it was such a great experience, I can see where I'll be doing more intensives on this work. I've worked with the power of breath, deep breathing, to excel healing, hope and self-discovery for the past 20 years, Shamanic Breathwork takes all that to a new level.

Community Drum circle, Oct. 15, 2010
The community drum circle will be taking place this Friday, oct. 15....same time at 7:30 p.m., same place at the Unitarian Universalist Society, 3912 Cedar heights Dr.
Any and all drummers and folks who don't have much experience are welcome. Each circle is differant. It's family friendly....It's free.... I'd love to have you stop by....do a little drum break-out with me...and go into your week-end with that great energy!

Community Drum Circle
Just droppin a note that the Community Drum circle is going on tomorrow night, September 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Society, 3912 Cedar Heights Drive in Cedar Falls.
These circles are so healing, fun, and all starts with me showing up with my large collection of drums and percussion instruments from all over the world. Candles are lit in the circle. We start with a couple of centering breaths and then it starts.... a drum beat is started and you join in when the groove hits you. Each drum can go all over the place with it's rhythm changes and the emotional changes within that rhythm....and yes it's true, sometimes it's quite chaotic... and thats ok... it'll come back to a place of harmony and connection.
There have been as few as 4 drummers at a circle and as many as 28 .... it all depends. If we don't get any rain and if this weather would warm up..... the drums would be happy.... drums (leather skinned drums) do not like cool or damp weather!
It's free....bring the family.... it's fun and when it come to the drum....it's my opinion that everyone should drum!

Fall schedule is out!
My new sign is up in front of my building and the fall schedule is almost ready to send in the mail. Hard to believe that it's time to talk "fall schedule".
The community drum circles will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Society. Since it's sponsored by the UUS, I can offer these circles FREE of charge. The drum circles are held on a friday evening from 7:30 til 9:30 p.m.. We do about 4-5 drum sets during this time. You don't need any experience to join us. You're free to come and go as you please. It's a great place to allow children the experience of drumming, and adults can still go to that groovy healing place during the drums!
I'm not planning any ARTz workshops at this time, due to some personal commitments that will be taking me out of town on weekends, however, I have alot of ideas swirling around in my head. So stay tuned in to my web-blog posts for updates. Art is truly a way to experience healing!
Also, if you know of couple who are looking for a wedding officiate for their "non-traditional wedding", please refer them to me. I love helping couples create the perfect wedding ceremony celebration.
